Bertha Vasquez, DO
Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician
Dr. Bertha Vasquez works closely with her patients to protect the health of both mother and baby during complicated pregnancies. She always feels honored to be a part of one of the most precious times in a woman’s life. Her goal is to treat each patient as if she were family, offering individuals information and empathy at every step.
Dr. Vasquez has a special interest in helping patients manage diabetes and hypertension in pregnancy and caring for women who are pregnant with multiples.
Dr. Vasquez grew up in an area with limited medical resources—adequate care was hours away. The experience inspired her to pursue a career in medicine. She started her training at Concordia University in Irvine, California, where she completed a bachelor of arts in psychology. She went on to earn a doctor of osteopathic medicine at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York City. From there, she finished a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, New Jersey. She completed a fellowship in maternal fetal medicine at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Away from medicine, Dr. Vasquez spends time with her husband and four children—twin girls and two boys! The family loves cooking, biking, hiking, and enjoying family movie nights together.
