Alexandra (Alex) Silverman, CNM
Certified Nurse Midwife
Alex Silverman empowers individuals to make informed choices about their bodies. She takes the time to educate patients about evidence-based options and supports them as they choose the best course for themselves and their families. Alex cares for people of all ages and offers the full range of midwifery care, including well-person and general gynecologic care, prenatal care, family planning, and contraception counseling. She has experience working with young adults and makes it a priority for all patients to leave each visit feeling cared for.
Alex is particularly dedicated to helping individuals feel safe and supported during their appointments. She creates a comfortable environment by taking conversations and exams at the patient’s speed, explaining each step, and ensuring each patient knows that they are in control. Alex is also a fervent believer that people of all sizes deserve respect and good health, and that size does not determine someone’s well-being.
Alex earned a bachelor of arts in biology at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. She earned a master of science in nursing at the Yale School of Nursing in New Haven, Connecticut.
Alex and her husband enjoy downhill and cross-country skiing, hiking, rock climbing, camping, and traveling. They love exploring places through food and are thrilled by all of the new restaurants they’ve tried since moving to the Northwest.
