Dr. Alex Dreisin empowers patients to be active participants in their care. He explains the why behind medical recommendations so that patients can understand how an approach or treatment will make a difference in their individual health. His goal is to encourage wellness and enable those with chronic diseases to stay out of the hospital.
Dr. Dreisin has a particular interest in promoting mental health as it can so easily fall through the cracks. He is also honored to help patients and families with end-of-life care decisions.
Dr. Dreisin earned a bachelor of science in business administration from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He earned his medical degree from the University of Queensland School of Medicine in Brisbane, Australia, and New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, Oregon.
Away from medicine, Dr. Dreisin enjoys playing tennis and watching the Portland Trail Blazers. He is also a board game enthusiast with a particular passion for Great Western Trail, The Castles of Burgundy, and Catan.
