Alex Hughes, DPT
Alex Hughes became a physical therapist in order to motivate, encourage, and guide people as they recover from difficult injuries. His treatment plans respect patients’ physical and psychological health. He strives to keep the therapy experience simple, fun, and effective.
Alex has a special interest in working with cardiac and pulmonary patients to help manage their conditions and create positive, long-term lifestyle changes. He takes the time to address pain-, fear-, and behavior-related obstacles that may keep individuals from making progress. Lastly, he has a passion for preventing injury, building strength, and optimizing function by continuing to fine-tune how much and how hard people are exercising.
Alex earned a bachelor of science in kinesiology at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. He went on to complete a doctor of physical therapy from George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon.
Away from medicine, Alex enjoys cooking, strength training, hiking, and exploring new cities. He also likes checking out new coffee shops and breweries, watching the Trail Blazers, and rooting for the Cougs.
