Akshita Narra, MD
Dr. Akshita Narra helps patients manage their diseases so that they can achieve their goals in life. She empowers people by helping them understand their conditions and giving them the information they need to make informed health decisions.
As a nephrologist, Dr. Narra has special interests in preventive kidney care, resistant hypertension, and kidney transplant. She finds it rewarding to see kidney failure patients go from being extremely sick to living normal lives after a successful transplant.
Dr. Narra earned a bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery at NTR University of Health Sciences in Guntur, India. She finished an internal medicine residency at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, Connecticut. She completed general nephrology and transplant nephrology fellowships at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. She is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology.
Outside of work, she enjoys gardening and traveling with her husband and two daughters.
