Put patients first
Develop your practice while focusing on what matters most—the care you give and your own opportunities for growth. The clinic provides ancillary services and cultivates relationships with area hospitals that allow you to deliver seamless care. A strong in-house referral network and trusted relationships with other physicians help you to deliver the comfort and confidence patients seek.
The Vancouver Clinic offers an extensive provider mentoring program designed to facilitate the transition into private practice.
Each new provider is assigned a local mentor to answer questions about clinic life, policies, and accepted medical practices and procedures. In addition, providers can easily access resources to help guide their work performance, including monthly statistical reports on productivity, patient contact hours, and patient visits. The chair of each department takes an active role in the mentoring program, checking in regularly with the new providers.
At least twice each month, providers and staff have an opportunity to hear a presentation on medical issues at each of our clinic sites. In addition, our Pearls for Providers program creates the space for physician-only discussions on topics related to patient care. Clinic physicians or outside speakers cover a range of medical interests and specialties. The program draws high ratings from participants, and each presentation is worth one hour of CME category 2 credit.
Additional extensive opportunities for learning and for category 1 credit are available through the Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program through Southwest Washington Medical Center and Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital.
