The Vancouver Clinic (TVC), Clark County’s largest private, multispecialty medical group, recently announced that its ambulatory surgery center (ASC) achieved accreditation by the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). The ASC is a high quality, safe setting where TVC providers are able to perform endoscopic and surgical procedures for their patients.
To become an accredited program, the ASC underwent the AAAHC’s rigorous self-assessment and on-site survey process, meeting nationally recognized standards for the provision of quality health care. Multiple levels of TVC staff were involved in the process to prepare for accreditation, including physicians and medical staff, human resources and IT.
“We are beyond thrilled that our ambulatory surgery center has achieved this impressive recognition,” said Mark Mantei, CEO of The Vancouver Clinic. “It truly reflects The Vancouver Clinic’s commitment to quality healthcare and the patient experience. Thank you to all of those involved who helped the accreditation become a reality!”
TVC providers perform more than 15,000 procedures annually in the ASC, including infant abdominal surgery, carotid surgery, endocrine surgery, vascular/thoracic surgery, carpal tunnel surgery and complex oncological needs. Within the next year, TVC is also unveiling new services available at the ASC: Ophthalmology, facial plastics and reconstruction, orthopedic procedures (expanding) and a new procedure for the removal of hemorrhoids, among other treatments for common conditions.
